The Pied Piper, Wildcat Writers, New Books, and...

Welcome back, Wildcats!  Hope you had the best long weekend ever!

Next Tuesday, November 12, the Media Center is hosting Pat Bell and Marty Barrett from the Woodruff Center for the Arts.  They will be performing the Pied Piper of Hamelin for Grades K-3. Last spring Marty and Pat thrilled us with their poetry performance- I can't wait to see this!  Super thanks to Athfest Educates- whose mini-grant funded this and next month's performance of Truman Capote's A Christmas Memory (for grades 4-5).  You rock our world!

Five of our wildcats, Reggie, Samaiyah, Henry, Jackie R., and Niya, met the Wildcat Writing Challenge. Way to go!  Super proud of you all!  <3<3<3...

The interns, student helpers and I have been busy processing hundreds of new books. We have lots of fabulous titles- Dork Diaries, Lives of Scientists, Ultimate Weird But True, v. 2, Emeraldalicious, the Hobbit graphic novel (!), Lego books galore... You can find them in the new books session of the L.M.C.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!  Remember, Reading Rock Star logs are due November 19.  Happy Reading!
